Mohave County Speedy Trial time limits in Bullhead City, Kingman and Lake Havasu City

Often times I am asked by clients about their right to a speedy trial concerning cases our office handles in Bullhead City, Kingman and Lake Havasu City.  Defendants are understandably stressed out by the process of having to answer for a crime.  Hiring Mohave Law PLLC can help alleviate your concerns, however, you must still actively participate in the defense of your case.  Generally, the more active the client is during their case the easier it is to make progress toward a final resolution.

In Arizona Rule 8.2 of the Arizona Rules of Criminal Procedure governs the time in which your case must go to trial.  Defendants or clients in custody must have their trial no later than 150 days after arraignment.  Clients out of custody in Mohave County and elsewhere in Arizona must be tried within 180 days with certain exceptions for complex cases.  Sometimes it may be appropriate for your attorney to waive the time-frames above to more effectively represent you in your case.
